obstacle racing _mud runningObstacle Course Racing is a new and emerging sport that puts athletes and everyday folk of all levels and skills on courses typically consisting of mud, hills, walls, fire, barbed wire, monkey bars, lifting heavy things and having the time of your life with the most amazing people you've ever met.

Big names like Spartan Race, Tough Mudder and Warrior Dash are widely recognized, but smaller, specialized and local events are filling out the spaces on the calendar... Rugged Maniac, Ruckus, LoziLu, Merrell Down and Dirty - the list is endless and changes by region. It seems most weekends you can find a race a short drive from where you are. Distances and challenges vary - many 5k races are great introductions to the sport, with 10k, 12+ mile and longer events for those athletes looking for a bigger, meaner challenge.

Obstacle Course Racing is always about interesting terrain and getting you outside of your comfort zone - they are infinitely more engaging and muddy than your average road race!

Whether you are running solo or as part of a team - you may be racing for position and cash, or beer and a party. Sporting the latest trail rated Inov-8's or a tutu and team tank top - these events are all inclusive and have a very low barrier for entry, but a high capacity for excellence. One thing is for sure, after your first Obstacle Course Race - you'll be booking your second!
